Robert Cavalleri

About Me:

I am a counsellor and psychotherapist with over 10 years’ experience, offering a warm, thoughtful space where you can speak openly and feel genuinely heard. I work in a psychodynamic and relational way, which means I’m interested not only in the difficulties bringing you to therapy now, but also in how your past experiences, relationships, and patterns may be influencing your present life.

Central to my work is the therapeutic relationship itself. I believe that meaningful change happens through feeling understood within a safe, collaborative relationship. I aim to offer an approach that is compassionate, curious, and grounded, working at your pace to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences that may feel confusing, painful, or hard to put into words.

People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be struggling with anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, work-related stress, or a sense of feeling stuck or disconnected. You don’t need to have a clear explanation for what’s wrong — part of our work together can be making sense of that uncertainty and developing a deeper understanding of yourself.

Alongside psychotherapy, I also offer coaching and executive coaching. This work is more focused on the present and future, supporting clients who want clarity, confidence, or change in their professional or personal lives. I work with individuals navigating leadership challenges, career transitions, increased responsibility, or questions about direction and purpose. My coaching style is reflective and supportive, helping you think clearly, make informed choices, and move forward in a way that feels authentic to you.

Clients often describe me as approachable, thoughtful, and grounding. I welcome people from all backgrounds and at all stages of life, and I value working in a way that respects your individuality and lived experience.

If you’re considering therapy or coaching, it’s natural to feel unsure about taking the first step. You don’t need to know exactly what you want to work on — starting with curiosity about yourself is enough. I would be glad to support you in that process.
