Sharon Dunning MBACP
About Me:
Hi, my name is Sharon. I am a qualified therapeutic counsellor and a member of the BACP. The therapeutic approach I use is person-centred and relational, building a safe, trusting and non-judgemental space for my clients.
Through working together, we will look at changes you wish to make in your life, exploring your experiences in a compassionate, calm and caring manner at a pace that suits you. I sometimes use other therapeutic interventions to help the counselling process and each one is bespoke to the individual. Counselling can be challenging and a little scary – I am here to reassure and support you.
I am passionate about helping people of all ages. My experience and knowledge cover an extensive range of issues which includes - but is not is not exclusive – anxiety/depression, bereavement and childhood adversity.
As a person of faith, I fully understand the importance this can hold within some people’s lives. I also fully appreciate that when life sends challenges, we can either cling to or question our faith. If this is something you would like to bring into your sessions, I’m more than happy to explore this further.
Thank you for visiting my profile and I hope that what you read here will inspire you to reach out to me to find out more about how we can work together.
If you would like to speak to me before deciding whether you would like to work with me, I offer a free 30 minute phone or video consultation.
