Beverley-Ann Watts

Pluralistic Counsellor

Hello and welcome to my profile, I’m Beverley-Ann, a qualified pluralistic counsellor, this just means that I can use different approaches with people based on needs and preferences.

I’m accredited with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), offering evidence-based counselling that is tailored to your individual needs. I work with adults from all walks of life, helping build emotional resilience and find healthy coping strategies.

I have worked in the health and social care sector for over twenty years, both in the voluntary and statutory sectors. A big part of my career has been working with families who have needed some extra support with the challenges that life can bring, working holistically to support each family member.  I have experience of working with families on the edge of care and during care proceedings.  I have worked in local drug and alcohol services and supported adults, children and young people who have been impacted by a loved one’s substance use.

Alongside counselling, I’m passionate about health and well-being and have qualifications in personal training and teaching yoga to both adults and children.  I can often be found in the outdoors, enjoying all nature has to offer us.

I volunteer as a bereavement counsellor for a charity in North Yorkshire

Counselling is not always an easy thing to do, but you’ve made an important decision by looking out for support. I would be happy to work alongside you as you explore some of the things that are feeling difficult right now. We would move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and my intention is always to create a space that feels safe, supportive, and free of judgment — a space where you can feel truly heard and gently explore whatever is on your mind.

If you would like, we can arrange an initial session where we can gently explore what you’re hoping to gain from the counselling process. It’s also a chance for you to get a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit for you. I offer a free 30-minute no obligation session.
