Graham Morris - Male counsellor
Hi, I’m Graham. How are you? I’ve experienced that people’s routes to therapy can sometimes be many and varied, and that it can be quite a daunting step as well. So, I want to make it as easy as possible for you.
I qualified to become a counsellor four years ago, and since then I have worked in private practice, in schools, and in universities. It has been wonderful to give people that opportunity to put themselves and their feelings first. It’s my firm hope that I could set habits there, in their early stages of life, that they would continue to feel like they could access throughout their lifetime.
I know not all of us have been that fortunate though, and it took me a good number of years to access counselling myself. Indeed, I had a long and varied journey before I became a counsellor, and I know the road can be bumpy sometimes.
It has been through facing my own problems, such as burnout and co-dependency, that my belief that everyone deserves a safe, and non-judgemental space where they can begin to address such matters has only strengthened. That said, I know this road can be a confusing one sometimes. So, I feel my type of therapy is durable enough to begin to make sense out of it all. It’s essential that we work at your pace, and I want to be with you on your journey.
I have also had the good fortune to work with people from all over the world, and the experience that brings. I have helped people who have experienced cheating in relationships; I have helped people re-connect with themselves after experiencing meaninglessness in their work, and I have helped clients who have experienced loss - whether that be loss of a loved one, loss of a pet, or loss of a relationship.
I hope I can help you, wherever you are, and I hope we can talk soon. If not, I wish you well on your journey.
