Brian Padden clinical Supervisor for Trainee Counsellors
Brian Padden
Supervision for trainee counsellors, newly qualified counsellors and new to private practice.

Thank you for reading my profile. Having a supervisor who understands you, how you work and what you want to achieve in your career as a counsellor is vital. It can be the difference between that feeling of walking a lonely road, with the trepidation and anxiety that brings and feeling like you have a guardian angel on call to help with the ongoing issues that a complicated profession like counselling throws up.

I am a person-centred trained counsellor who blends Transactional Analysis and Creative Counselling into my sessions. Within our sessions, we will work using the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision. This is a model which looks at seven specific aspects of the triad relationship of Supervision: The Client - The Therapist - The Supervisor.

Lauren Askins Supervisor in Bingley for therapists
Lauren Askins
BACP registered counsellor and clinical supervisor.

I offer professional supervision to qualified counsellors and counsellors in training, with a particular focus on therapeutic work with children and young people. My supervision practice is person-centred, collaborative, and reflective, valuing the supervisory
relationship as central to professional growth. I aim to create a safe and containing space where
support and appropriate challenge can exist simultaneously, enabling supervisees to deepen their understanding of themselves, their clients, and the therapeutic process. I have extensive experience supporting individuals affected by bereavement, including sudden
death, suicide, and sibling loss, within school settings and community services. I have a
particular interest in supervising bereavement work with children and young people and welcome
enquiries from counsellors working in this area.

AJ Quarmby
Experienced person-centred clinical supervisor

I’m a person-centred clinical supervisor, with an informed understanding of different therapeutic
models. Good supervision can be like this: it’s an invitation to feel welcome and understood, and to
attend with care to your Self in practice; and it’s learning at the foot of experience – the counsellor’s,
the client’s, and the supervisor’s. My aims are to help you feel curious to meet your clients – to see
them anew; and for you to feel both sustained and free to develop. My past experience includes
being the co-ordinator of a network of therapists, providing training and 1:1 supervision; more
recently, I was the lead mentor of a team of trainee counsellors in a domestic abuse project.

Seba Thomson Clinical supervision in Bingley
Experienced NCPS Accredited Supervisor for Qualified Practitioners and Students

I offer specialist supervision for psychotherapists who work with neurodivergent clients. Therapy for neurodivergent clients needs to be delivered by specialists. It is therefore essential that supervision is received from a qualified practitioner experienced within this field. Over the years, I have found neurodivergent clients have expressed to me the difficulties they have had in accessing support and making progress, due to previous therapists not understanding their neurodiversity. This can be due to therapists’ making incorrect assumptions of behaviours/thinking styles and confusion because the clients may not be responding well to a neurotypical style of therapeutic interventions. If therapists and supervisors are not skilled in recognising when neurodiverse traits are present, it is likely that their treatment plans would be ineffective. It is important that their therapist can identify the root of their difficulties. Specialist supervision provides supervisees with the confidence to work flexibly and provide effective
support to their clients.
