Caroline Henderson

Hi , I’m Caroline a Person-centred/Integrative therapist I work with individual adults and couples.

Deciding to begin therapy can be a daunting thought but once you’ve made that first step it is a powerful commitment to your mental health.

“Every journey starts with a single step”

With over twenty years of experience working in mental health recovery I have gained valuable knowledge and understanding of how our current issues and past experiences impact on our daily life.

“Sometimes everyday life can be overwhelming,

if this sounds like you I can provide the support

you need to get through it”

My style of therapy provides a safe space to create a warm and welcoming relationship where you feel you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement whether you are wanting to work towards a specific goal or maybe unsure what you hope to achieve by seeking therapy I will be with you throughout the process, I work at the clients pace with the person centred modality being at the core but also integrating other psychological approaches to fit with each client’s requirements.

My role as the therapist is to work with you to develop a healthier way of processing your emotions and help you to make sense of your thoughts and behaviours as well as finding ways to change these if that would be more beneficial to you.

I started my therapy career working as a helpline volunteer for Bradford Rape Crisis where I completed their training program to work with clients who have experienced sexual violence and domestic abuse.

I am passionate about working with adults who have experienced childhood trauma, focusing on emotional regulation and their long term psychological well being.

To book an appointment or to find out more about how we can work together please contact me, I’d be happy to arrange a free 10 minute chat by phone if you feel that would be beneficial.
